Ailyn’s musical career started at the age of 15, when she studied solfege and classical singing at The Albéniz School of Music. Her professional debut was in 2002 in Cornellà de Llobregat, in an annual benefit fashion show the city held to raise money for Alzheimer’s sufferers.
In September 2005, she was a contestant representing Spain in the International Pop Music Festival “Canzoni Dal Mondo”, being among the 10 finalists.
And in October of the same year she got the “Silver Tabaiba” to the Best Performance in the 5th Edition of the International Song Festival in the Canary Islands.
A year later she got the “Gold Tabaiba” to the Best Singer Of A Published Song, in the 6th Edition of the International Song Festival in the Canary Islands. The song, “Puedo Sentir”, was originally sung by Lena Park (Fall In Love).
On April 2008 it was announced that Ailyn was chosen as the new singer of Sirenia out of over 500 women.
During August that year, Ailyn recorded all her vocals to be included in her first album with the band.
At the end of the year the first single off the album was released. It was “The Path To Decay”, which had its own video.
The first album of Ailyn in Sirenia and fourth for the band, “The 13th Floor”, was released on January 23, 2009. It had 3 formats: jewel case, digipack and limited edition boxset.
During 2009 and 2010 Sirenia travelled around the world with their international tour to promote the album, and they entered the studio in autumn to record their fifth album, “The Enigma Of Life”.
It will be released in January 21st 2001, and features 12 tracks. Also, they recorded spanish and acoustic versions to be included in the different countries releases.
The video for the first single, “The End Of It All”, was filmed on November in Sweden.
