Musically it's an album that takes us back in time as well as forth, we have tried to combine everything we have done throughout SIRENIA’s career musically and blended it into one massive album. Loads of power combined with melodic aspects, with all the variation and diversity that always has been the main key in SIRENIA’s sound and expression. We are really proud of the result and we think this album will satisfy the majority of our fans, the ones that have followed us from the very beginning and the ones who discovered Sirenia's music through our previous album Nine Destinies and a Downfall. We have put our hearts and souls into this album and truly hope that it will give you all some nice moments in the name of metal. – Morten Veland

A little harsh for a cd you haven't even heard yet. I'm on the other hand will be open minded and say it might be delightful.

You were semi-right. Many of the songs were so poppy sounding and I hate alien's voice.

It wasn't too bad. I miss the old style. At least the band suited the music to Ailyn's voice.

The song on their myspace isn't bad at all, but not great as the others from their first two albums.

If I have never heard Sirenia before I would had probably just dimissed the band as pop metal, only when the growling is there do I hear elements of the original sound. I miss the old stuff.

A friend of mine writes for a metal magazine and he has it yet.. he makes me listen to the whole album and I think it's good... Ailyn is not so pop in those songs.. and Morten sings very much anyway....

AS long as Morten is doing vocals I can bear through Ailyn's voice.

I heard the whole album (illegal download, sorry, I couldn't keep my eyes and ears far from the illegal page) and I think it's not bad, nor good.

what is your favourite song of the album?

I don't know which is my fav one but I think The Seventh Summer is nice.

I love the part that Morten sings in it

I just downloaded the album. I'm half for it and half not. Soem songs I like but others I don't. To my surprise Ailyn sounded good on some songs.

The new album is awesome! I like it more than NDAADF.

I don't know where to begin, the songs themselves are really great and catchy. Morten has also taken more elements from early Sirenia. There's a lot of dominating synth lines, and he growls on every song except one, and he sings clean vocals on one song as well.

Ailyn isn't too bad, but her voice is a bit weak, and in the long run, it can get a little annoying I think, especially when she sings high. So it's a good thing that Morten also does a lot of the vocals. And Jan Kenneth! Which is back as a guest vocalist on the last track, Sirens of the Seven Seas, a bit goth rock influenced song which is actually my favorite song on the whole album. Not just because Jan Kenneth's nice vocals (I think it would be best if he had sung the entire album though), but the song in itself is killer!

yes. sirens of the 7 seas is the best song of the album

I think it's a really good album.
The only songs i don't like are Lost In This Life and The Path To Decay. Otherwise I'm all for it.
