| Whaou ! There are people from USA and Norway ! I hope one day I could go there to visit ! (for the Norway, I think I can do it, but the USA, it's too big and to far, and I have to do a passport etc.. Moreover, I'm a bit afraid of the plane, so... for 2 hours, that's okay, but I don't know if I could stand 15 hours of plane ) I live in France. | |

| Iceland, forreal? That is sweet! At one point I started to learn Icelandic but then I saw it wouldn't do me well in the USA and abandon it. I kinda want to start to learn it again. And Norway sounds like a cool place. What is Norway like? And have you been to Iceland? | |

How did you think of learning icelandic? It's pretty brutal grammar, and not many people outside Icleand speaks it Norway is... boring. I like the darkness and the snow-filled landscapes during winter though, but it's waay too many trees here

My mother is from Poland. And I was born the in the US. But I grew up speaking more her dialect then the American. And languages such as Spanish are nearly impossible for me to learn. But I just randomly click on Icelandic and was rather smoother for me.

| Well, I hope you pick up one day. Since Iceland has been so isolated, the language is mostly the same as Old Norse. So learning icelandic (modern) is a nice way to look into the early germanic languages of Europe I was in Poland once, when my class visited the death camps. I would like to go there later, and watch a concert with slavic black metal bands \m/ | |

| Sweet! I've never been there. I still have family other there. But the main family lives here in the US. I hope one day to go there. I think Behemoth is probably Poland's biggest black metal pride. | |

Yeaah, Les Bulles rules ! The “bulles” (“Bubble” in English) are a cable car (some says that it was the first urban cable-car in the world that existed when it was put on the city, but I’m not sure it’s true^^) that connects the city to the Bastille, a small fortified mountain, from where we can see all the Alps, and it’s really beautiful. And yes, that’s true, Grenoble is the capital of Walnuts, there are all around the city a lot of walnut trees plantations. But we have a lot of other culinary specialties, not exactly in my city, but not far from here, like The Chartreuse (an alcohol made by monks on the mountains that are still keeping secret their recipes) and a lot of various cheeses. - Reumeren wrote:

I like the darkness and the snow-filled landscapes during winter though, but it's waay too many trees here I dream to visit Norway and see theses “darkness and the snow-filled landscapes”! Norway seems so peaceful for me! But I agree with you on the fact that forests can be boring. I visit Sweden, and from the South to the North, I had to take the train during 15 hours, and during all the 15hours, there were just trees, lakes, trees, lakes, trees, one city and again, trees, lakes… and yeah, it was boring. But Norway attracts me because I think there are a lot of things to see, like the Lofotens, the north, with all the fjords because I saw some pictures and it looks amazing! When I was on holidays in the north of Sweden, I was close to Narvik, but as the train had a lot of late, I didn’t had enough time to go in the city and so I stopped just before the frontier with Norway. I hope one day I could go there! But where do you live in Norway? In the south or the north ?

Sweet! I never knew Monks made booze. A little bit contradicting.
